Yarra Valley Grammar sought a dedicated audio-visual partner capable of meeting its specific needs and providing expert guidance on the latest technologies. With a desire for consistency and reliability across its campus, Yarra Valley Grammar aimed to create cohesive teaching spaces conducive to effective learning.
Yarra Valley Grammar, a private Anglican school in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, boasts a significant teaching staff and student body. Committed to excellence in education, Yarra Valley Grammar sought to leverage audio-visual solutions to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Goals and Objectives
Yarra Valley Grammar’s primary goal was to establish uniform teaching environments across their campus, eliminating staff needing to adapt to different technologies in each space. This consistency was essential for streamlining operations and fostering a conducive student learning environment.
Challenges Before Engaging with KGM AVS
The scale of the audio-visual rollout posed a significant challenge for Yarra Valley Grammar, requiring the installation of over 130 large-format interactive CommBox screens within a tight timeframe. Additionally, the integration of hearing augmentation systems and coordination with electricians presented logistical hurdles that needed to be addressed.
To address Yarra Valley Grammar’s challenges, KGM AVS recommended the CommBox interactive S4 86” screen, renowned for its functionality and reliability. Through collaboration with Yarra Valley Grammar’s board and ICT staff, KGM AVS ensured the selection of technology aligned with the school’s needs and existing infrastructure. KGM AVS delivered functional and aesthetically pleasing teaching spaces across the campus by standardising the installation process and providing meticulous attention to detail.

Review
In mid 2023, KGM were recommended to the School as a potential AV Integration Partner for a once in a decade project of replacing 140 classroom digital panels at Yarra Valley Grammar.
Over a ten-day period in early January, the coordination with Simon and Kris saw delivery of this project on time and in budget. It was a significant undertaking that included careful planning and liaison in the preceding months.
A feature of this project was ensuring that all working digital panels were either relocated to digital signage onsite or donated to churches around Ringwood and schools around Melbourne.
All non-working units and packaging were disposed of responsibly. The same schedule also included the construction of a new double-sided scoreboard in the sports precinct, sophisticated lesson capture devices installed in classrooms and a brilliant state-of-the-art video conferencing solution with simple device wireless connectivity and audio for our Board Room.
I have no hesitation in recommending KGM as a trusted source of knowledge and expertise. Kris and Simon are punctual, polite, reliable and always part of the solution.
